Located in the historic Gehlen Barn in St. Donatus, IA, Beer in the Barn Brewery offers one of the most unique settings you will find. The three story stone barn was built by Luxembourgers in 1839, offering space for livestock, grain and families throughout the various levels. Renovated to a tap room and small event venue in 2020, the brewery began production in February of 2023. The tap room boasts 12 beers brewed on site, and an additional 6 guest taps from other local breweries in Iowa. Stone, wooden beams, multi-level rooms and rustic seating will be sure to both surprise and please you. The brewery is run by a husband and wife team, with one of the few female head brewers in Iowa.
